Hi all, I'm getting some strange symptoms out of my 4.0 2003 xlt. It's AWD. It seems that whenever warmed up and at speed (above 30mph), and especially whenever going over a crest in the road (meaning when the tires get some 'air time' until the weight of the vehicle is once again on them and the suspension after going over the crest) I am getting a strange pulsing grinding or rumble sensation, I can feel it primarily in the steering wheel and also the gas pedal. It can also be felt in the seat. Not sure of the exact area it's coming from, could be front or rear left or right. It does not change with speed but only happens at higher speeds, it also is not affected by steering much like a bearing would be. I investigated all the tires today and the rear right tire has wear in the dead middle of the tire (as from overinflation, though it was never over inflated)
The disc brake on that side is also chewed up and the pad doesn't appear to be flush/flat with the disc, it seems crooked. Could this be the cause of this? Or is the thing that is wrong also causing this? I'm also getting a strange rattling noise on deceleration when not pressing the gas around 10-30 mph. It almost sounds like a diesel truck idling underneath the car (it is not coming from the engine bay).
