I recently traded for a 1999 Ranger XLT Supercab 4 door. The driver's door sags just slightly, so it's doesn't always shut on the first try. When you open it, as it slides off the latch, it drops just fractionally. I've looked at the bolts and they all seem tight, so don't know if there is a way to adjust it or not. When front door is open, you can lift up on it somewhat too. Comparing it to the passenger door, which opens and shuts very easily, and with a cleaner sounding ka-thunk.

I searched, but really didn't come up with much here on the forum.

You can adjust the door a little bit, but the bolts are real hard to get to. It's much easier to adjust the post on the jamb that the latch grabs onto when the door is closed... there's a torx head on it and you loosen it up and slide it up or down.

Agree. Adjusting the striker will have no effect on a sagging door or alignment.

Yes it will, IF the door isn't sagging a whole bunch. My door scraped a bit when I closed it and was misaligned in the closed position, and I raised the striker which lifts the door up a quarter inch or so when the latch first grabs it and now the door doesn't scrape when closing and it's aligned once it's fully closed.
