I unlocked my doors with the keyless entry, and then went to pull the handle and it was super loose, with no tension at all, even less then a normal locked handle. So I tried to open it with the inside handle and that doesn’t unlock it either, although it has the normal "feel." when I do unlock it, using the keypad, keyless entry, or the unlock button, I can hear the mechanism making noise, and the little black nub that sticks pops a little but wont go up all the way like the door does when it is locked. To get the door open I put the window down and click the unlock button and when it pops a little bit I can barely grab enough to pull it up and then while holdint it up i have to pull the inside handle and i can get it unlocked. Occasionally it will work fine, and then all of a sudden it won’t work. even when the inside and outside handles are "working" the inside catches a little before it will unlock, and then outside still feels like it has a lot more play then usually. also when i use the key to unlock the door it just hits a point when i cant turn it (when it would usually unlock)

Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I haven’t opened it yet, but id like to have the parts I may need to replace or at least the extra cash to get a replacement part...

Any ideas???

Sounds a little like a problem I have. When I shut the door and then try to open it, I have to use the remote or the keyless pad. My problem is due to a very small spring in the door latch that has rusted away. The spring actually holds the lock in the "up" position. When the spring broke, the door lock simply drops into position...there's nothing to hold it up. The remote key pops the lock just enough to allow me to gain entry, but when I exit the car my door will lock all by itself. It's a PITA when I'm working around the car.

Anyway, check it out and see if the tiny spring is broken. You can just barely see it if you shine a light into the door latch. If you're lucky, it's just slipped...a replacement latch is about $150 US.
