So after 2 years, I finally dinged my 08 Sport Trac. Backing out of the garage, I misjudged it and ran the driver side rearview mirror into the garage door track. Smashed the heck out of the mirror, but the housing is all intact. The two little motors for adjusting the mirror work no problems. Puddle light. All good.
My question: Can I just replace the mirror itself, or do I have to get the whole darn thing? Anyone have any good links to either mirrors or the whole setup? Walk-through, etc? I've seen replacement mirrors at places like 1aauto, but that's the whole deal. Can I do just the mirror with the mounts on the back?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Note to self, be more careful backing out of the garage!
