Okay I got a weird one for ya. I recently replaced the bulb in my 02 Explorer Sport 2 Door cause it wasn't working in the back. Okay so everything's going good or so I thought when I now notice that anytime the steering wheel is in a non tilting position the directional works however when its tilted down in any position it doesn't work....Anyone know what could be causing this to act like this? Also the spring that holds my door open is either warn out or totally gone so whenever the door is open it doesnt stay open unless I hold it open...This is a minor thing just wanted to throw it out there

Thanks

For your turn signal the plug that is going into the multi-function (turn signal lever) switch is loose. Every time you tilt the steering wheel down it pulls the plug out of the switch a little and when you tilt the wheel back up it pushes it back in to make contact. I worked as a Ford tech for 10 yrs. and have seen this issue more than once. To fix it you need to pull the top and bottom covers off the steering column behind the steering wheel and reseat the plug into the switch. If the retaining tabs are broken off then you'll have to find a way to secure it like possibly a wire tie or two.
