The power on my driver side visor doesn’t appear to be working. The big problem is my Homelink doesn’t appear to work. The lights don’t flash and it no longer opens the garage door. The light on the mirror no longer works either which I don’t really mind but I think it’s a clue that power isn’t getting to the visor. The passenger side visor light works fine as do the other lights/controls. Any idea what’s going on here and how to fix?

Sounds like it could be a wiring issue. I didn't see any fuses for the visors. i'm not sure but I'm guessing the wires run through the visor's arm. If you decide to tackle it yourself, the 3rd post in this thread may help. Or not.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I give that a shot tomorrow.

I didn’t get to this for a couple of days and then a number of other lights went out. Including the lights by the rear view mirror that come on when opening the door. I changed fuse #1 and now the lights came back but still no power to Homelink or the driver side visor light. Any thoughts?

I took my visor off, unplugged connector and took it the the bench. After removing the mirror and light I was able to see the problem. Broken wire. I think it's common with them getting caught and pinched and broken when sliding/extending the visor. I had to slide the visor shaft back and forth to get a look at where the other end was. Finally spotted it and was able to pinch with needle nose pliers and work it out as I worked the slide. This was my second attempt as I gave up looking the first time. Had just enough to get a crimp on it to add an extension to the wire. connected extend wire to the broken one I found and homelink and mirrior light now work. Wife no longer uses the to slide feature, just the mirror and fold down. She knows I'm not fixing it again.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try!
