Ok, I been messing with this for a while (like 2 weeks). I have a 96 xlt 4.0 4x4.
one day my drivers side window stopped working. I check the switch and motor and they are good. The switch controls all the rest of the windows just fine and I jumped the motor straight to the battery to check that.

I've tried to shoot the wires but I can't find a diagram with the system on it. I've tried tracing the wire but because it's DC, every thing is conected is some way and all i get is beeps from everything.

oh and the only difference between the drivers switch and the others is it has the auto feature.

can any one help PLEASE!!!!!!

Diagrams

Magic...

I just saw your post and though it's a month and a half old, if you still have the problem, you can find the wiring diagrams on the AutoZone website. Use this link and scroll down to find your year.

Good luck... I've had PW problems in the past and they can be pretty frustrating to isolate. Look at the diagrams CAREFULLY. There is a central wire to each switch that is hot whenever the key is on. All the other wires are at ground. When you push the switch, the proper pair is isolated from ground and power is supplied to the motor. Which one of the two wires in the pair is positive depends on whether you are raising or lowering the window.
