So my driver’s side mirror puddle light kinda goes on only when the door is at certain angles. When I pinch the wiring loom that goes from the body to the open door it also kinda goes on and off.

Anyone know where there might be a bad connection in this system?

Also, do the running board lights operate/turn on independently of that loom? I don’t know because mine are disconnected and I’d like to reconnect them using LED strips on each side, after I remove the running boards.

Thanks!

Anyone have any thoughts on this? What’s inside when I open the panel?

You probably have a broken wire in the boot that is in the door jamb. Very common issue. The easiest way is to cut open the boot to examine the wires. If I remember correctly the puddle lights are part of the entry / exit lighting system.
