It will go all the way back and up and down, but not forward. Over the past couple of weeks, it's gotten worse. Fuse is good. If it was the switch, wouldn't all of the function be gone? So I'm thinking it's a connection issue. Would like to troubleshoot (even solve if possible) before resorting to $$$ mechanic.

first, welcome to the forum!
im sorry, but i cant answer your question. i just wanted to tell you not to give up if you dont get a response as quick as you like. these things can take time, so hang in there. theres a great set of people here with lots of good info.

There will be different contacts in the seat switch, and individual wires going to each. I would pull the seats (4 bolts plus seatbelt) remove the side trim, pull the switch and make sure one of your wires isn't broken, or connections dirty.

Welcome! If you have a test lamp or Volt/Ohm meter I can send you the diagnostics. I'll need the year of your vehicle to be specific though.

I had an issue with my seat also, with it the plastic guide on the rail was damaged, and wouldn't let the seat slide.

Probably a very overwieght person owned the truck before me.
