Last week I went to roll the drivers window down it made a popping sound and something fell inside the door and the drivers make lurching motion for a second or so, but then goes up or back down. Any ideas on what to look at first?

Something on the window regulator broke. Could be the nylon bushings or guide wheels. It is a cable driven system, mine broke at the end of the cable that attaches to the track (again another plastic/nylon part) If it is still able to go up or down, you may be able to just replace the plastic/nylon part (IIRC there is a bushing that goes thru the glass that attaches the guide wheels to it) If that is what you heard fall, I would take the inner door panel off and find out what exactly you have before you end up with the broken cable or worse broken glass.

Looked on rock auto, wasn't able to find the part I'm thinking of. Might be a dealer item. I am pretty sure I got my window regulator from the dealer and they may have mentioned it. This was probably 6-8 years ago.

If you grab the glass and try moving up or down by hand (gently) does it feel like the glass is not secure? Or does one end move up higher than the other? Like the front vs the rear.

The front part of the glass looks to be loose when you roll it up or down.

I would get the inner door panel off to see what let loose. Last thing you want is for the glass to break.
