After lurking on this board for almost 6 months I have learned a whole boat load to improve my 92 ex.

Within the last week I finally got all my parts ordered and today had at the install with my digital camera handy so there are lots of pictures and a big write up to come of the install on the following...

1) kkm induction kit
2) superlift full length add a leafs
3) warrior 153 shackles
4) f150 coil spacers
5) 32" on BFG AT's on new 15x8 3.75 backspacing rims.

everything went reasonably smoothly untill #4 on the list. I took the impact wrench to the lower shock mount to disconnect it to get the nessecary drop from the axle and promptly sheared off the bolt =/

While a new radius arm (and thus bolt) is only $47 i'd rather just weld a new on in there for $4! I was so frustrated I walked away without taking measurements.

Does anyone have the length, diameter, thread pitch of this bolt?

Anyone see any problems with just tack welding a new grade 8 bolt in there since that is what it just seems to be right now instead of a whole new radius arm?

Any thoughts are appriciated before I dive back in!

(With full length add-a-leaves and shackles but no coil spacers the rear sits 2+ inches higher than the front and it really looks like a MEAN stink bug!)

that is very common

Mine broke too and I just weld another in its place:D

WICKED! i post and less than 5 minutes later there is a reply!

did you take the radius arm off to weld it in there or did you grind the old one off and weld it right in place. it looks a little tight but definately not impossible to do while its still on the truck.

any clue on the proper size bolt so i don't have to crawl under there again?

I grinded the old one off and welded the new one on I am not for sure but I want to say it is a 5/8 bolt:D
