what is tow ring and how hard is it replace

tone ring, its the exitor ring that the abs sensor reads, its on the outside of the rear axle.

I second the rear abs tone ring, they always break.

Had exactly same thing, was on the road, stopped on red light. On green, I wanted to go, but grinding and no go. I forced the gas to overcome the brakes, check light on, then off.

It ws the front right ABS sensor, had to get a new complete hub with bearing.

But run the codes, it'll tell you wich wheel ABS is locking on you.
