Me and my auto shop teacher were thinking of different ways to lift the front end of my truck (and one of his buddys as well)

Me and his buddy both have 98/99 4 doors with the torsion front end, and we thought about SAS, but that's been done a hundred times, and a few other things, then we thought, well what if we just dropped the pig down like 2-3 inches or something.

So my question is, has anyone ever done this? I searched for "front pig drop" and got 4 results completely unrelated. So I suppose a better question is, does anyone think it's possible? lol.

We thought it'd be a cool project to tackle.

Dropping the differential down a few inches is exactly what the 2nd gen suspension lift kits do - so its been done before many times, and commercialized.

I say just go sas, then you're replacing the weak dana 35 junker

Oh wow, Totally missed that on google, but I found a few, man those are expensive, SAS it is when I have the time and what not. Probably won't be until summerish time. Will do a build thread while following the other on here already. :)

Thanks for the knowledge guys! :)
