Drove through Snow, now having problems!

We had a terrible storm a couple weeks back and I had to drive through about 2 feet of snow for 45 miles. I have brand new tires and shocks but giving her all I got, I could only go about 20 mph. Anyhow, the next day going to work, it was still in 4wd. Now, it is in 4wd and every couple mins the 4wd and 4wdlow lights blink at me. I think that it comes out of 4wd when I switch it to Auto, but I'm not sure. I just don't want to take this thing to the dealership as she's got 170k miles on her. I just bought it as a weather beater and to drive on rainy days in the summer when I couldn't take out the bike. Can anybody give me a list to troubleshoot the blinking light problem?

I would start by getting under there and seeing if any wires have been pulled out/compromised. You may also have moisture in the harnesses/plugs under there.
