Anybody out there have duals on your Sport Trac? I've seen one, but I've been told that it can't be done. I want to either come out in the corners below the tail lights, or straight out the back. If you have dual exhaust, what did it cost you and how did you run the pipes? Pictures will be helpful. Thanks!

I put them on my 01 ST 2 weeks ago. I am running an Edelbrock 1 in 2 out muffler. I have the tips coming out in the near stock location. The tips don't turn outward just stright down. We took the spare out to run the pipe to the drivers side, but then I put it back on afterward. I put a heat sheild between the pipe and spare tire. I also had duals on my 96 V-8 Explorer, put a smaller spare under to make it fit. It was a lowered Explorer so clearence was an issue. I don't have any pictures, I will try to take some though.

I got dual 40 series flowmasters on my 01 sport and they are straight out back. And go check out my cardomain it has pics of it on there.

and i still got the spare tire underneth my sport

How loud is it on the interior of the vehicle with the 40 series flowmaster?

Also, the resanator near where the exhaust comes out the back... Is it straight through, or is baffled?

i have the 1in2 out flowmaster 40 series and it is sweet and i have the stainless steal double dipped burla 4" tips

I got dual 40 series on my 01 sport and it sounds real loud and deep and I got the 2 1/2 inch tips.

I paid 290 for my dual 40 series flowmasters on my 01 sport

Main problem is clearance under the driveshaft for the pipe going to the driver's side. As far as I know, Heartthrob is the only company that makes a cat-back dual kit. Otherwise you're looking at a custom bent system.

I've seen a red ST in the Richardson, TX area that has what I'm looking for, but haven't had the chance to stop him and ask about it.

Richardson Texas has jobs? That's a small town.

I just had my 01 Sport Trac fitted with single in, dual out. I have the Cherry Bomb Pro Muffler and 2.5 in tips straight out the back. I cost me about $300 at a local Meineke shop. I had to take the spare out because there was no room for the drivers side pipe. I just put my spare in the truck bed.

Kinda dying thread but I have a Random Tech stainless steel y-pipe (pre cat delete), Random Tech High Flow stainless steel Cat (one main Cat instead of two) with 2.5" pipe all the way back. I havea Magna Flow knock off (stainless steel) bought at a swap meet for $30 new (straight thru design) single 2.5" in/ dual 2.5" out tailpipes. Custom bent and welded in by a buddy of mine. He bent, welded and hung the tailpipes for $160.

I had the Flowaster on before and it soumds alot better with the Magna Flow. I've heard the Spintech mufflers and they sound aewsome too.

It'll help with the fit better if you have a body lift and the spare out but can be done without either, it's just extremely tight under there and alot of shops won't mess with our trucks because of the space constraints.

Here's a couple pictures of it...

This was the old exhuast that I fabbed up a couple years back and the new pipes and muffler under there...

Just saying there is a difference between Y pipes/ 1 in 2 out mufflers, and duals.

Are you asking about true duals or just 2 tailpipes?

Had the local Midas Muffler shop put them on, was about $400 with labor.
