I am just curios if anyone out there has ever thought of or even try to install a dual exhaust system on their explorer? When I say dual exhaust, I mean two separate exhaust pipes. Sure there are a few small problems with it, like completely rearranging the catalectic converters and a little thing called the gas tank is in way. But you would have to admit that your explorer would be unique.

I may be very unique next week! I'm getting mine done, My bother in law runs a muffler shop. I'm looking at true duals. However a concern I have is a croosover pipe to add balance between the left and right exhaust banks. With the Gas Tank sitting in the way I may go with the conventional Y-pipe and split after that. Not sure which way to go yet.
Of course clearence is an issue and I need to pass emissions.

Anyone else run true duals?

Dual Exhaust

Could you post the results your installation of your dual exhaust system. Mufflers or just straight back? What about backpressure, you still need a little bit? Is your 94 a V8 or V6? What size pipes are they? You know, all that good stuff and most importantly how does it sound?

Thanks Rob,

Drew

Exhaust feedback

No problem. I'll post all the details when I get it installed. It will be a few weeks since I have to travel about 5 hours to where he lives so the work can be done.

Thanks Rob
