Hi all!
There's a problem with my F-250's rear gas tank that I would like hear what you think it might be.
The truck runs on the front gas tank just fine, but when you switch to the rear tank it sputters when you press on the gas pedal. It will idle on the rear tank, you just can't accellerate on it. And the wierdest thing about it is it does it IMMEDIATELY after you switch to the rear tank! It doesn't take a second or two to start running lousy, it's BANG! as soon as you fip the tank selector switch on the dash!
It has me thinking maybe the fuel tank selector switch may not be switching power to the rear in-tank fuel pump! The sending unit in the rear tank works, so I'd be really surprized if it was in the wiring going to the pump/sending unit Assy.....
Any thoughts?
Jim
