The pump turns off because the sensor on the nozzle thinks fuel has reached the top, so for some reason fuel wont go into your tank as fast as the nozzle is pumping it.

There is vent line, try to check that to see if its not kinked, squat, plugged

I believe there is also a mesh filter in the filler tube that's further down to prevent siphoning and gas theft. If this is dirty it can slow the fuel and fill up the filler tube and shut off the pump.

Ive seen people that put a fuel injector cleaner in and some of the foil seal you press in to open it will come off and go down the filler tube, and get stuck against this mesh. It will really slow the fuel, fill up the neck and keep shutting off the pump.
