Dual Touch Screen Locked on its own!?!?!?

I have a Dual xdvd8181 touch screen that I have had for a while and worked great. I took it out of my car to do some work behind the dashboard but when i put it all back in, it locked its self. I never put my own code in (that i remember). Is there a way to reset the code or is there a master code for it? It is like a $300 screen that is useless now. I try calling the tech line and it is never working. I am not sure why but other people seem to have the same problem but i cant find where they have the solution. any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's an anti-theft feature so that if someone yanks the headunit, they can't use it. I believe that you'll need to contact the company to get the procedure to reactivate your headunit and disable security mode.

as for your lock problem, i'm sure best buy shoudl be able to help you out. i believe they sell dual units.

is it asking for a code? or just won't do anything?

it is asking for a 4 digit code. if worst comes to worst, i guess i can just keep typing stuff in until it unlocks it. i just dont remember ever setting a password. and the 0000 default doesnt work.

i found that code also but the code has to 4 digits. that code must be for a different model.

you have to use the romote for that code to work apparently. and from what i read its a universal code for dual

hmmm....ok. i just dont see how that would work as it still has to fit in a 4 digit spot. and it doesnt matter any way as i have lost the remote. lol :
