how do i know if i have traction-lok?

If you are talking about Limited Slip or not, you can find the axle code on the sticker inside the drivers side door, then match it up to see what you have.
 






all the owner's manual says is something like 'your vehicle may or may not be equipped with traction-lok.' I think it's in addition to (or maybe a replacement of) a limited slip. i know for a fact i have a 3.73 limited slip rear axle.
 






Traction-Lok is Ford's "brand name" for their stock limited slip differential, just like "positrac" is GM's "brand name" for their limited slip differential. If you have a Ford limited slip differential, it's a traction lok differential.
 






ok, gotcha. i thought it was actually something special. :p I guess that's why they call it "Lok" instead of "Lock." If they spelled it right it'd actually have to lock.
