Dunlop Radial Rover RV

All,

I got an 96 Eddie Bauer and I am looking at getting some 255-70-16 Dunlop Radial Rover RV and the person at SEARS would not sell me any. He said it was unsafe and not recommended. I taught he was being a &%$@!#!! and he wanted to just sell me some 115.00 per tire.

But any of you think these tires are safe for my X please post. Also I have no idea what this means LOAD RATING C and R speed rating. But that what it says about the Dunlop Radial Rovers.

Please let me know your experiences with these tires??

Right now I own some Goodyear RT/S and I think there the crapiest tires when wet traction is involved. Let me hear your comments or if you think its alright to use these tire my my X.

Oh also I will be pulling an 3500Lbs boat,,, so post and let me know?

Why did he say it was unsafe? Unless the tire has some sort of defect it shouldn't be unsafe....

I know it pissed me off when that sales rep said that. I think due to the fact that the Rovers were on close out fir 54.00 each and retail for 125.00 ...I think he took me for an sucker. They are good tires right??
Would you recommend them being good to be put on my X ??

Nah I really don't think they're that great. If you can afford it, go with the Michelin LTX M/S. Great tires.

Well I finally got the Rover RVs today. I got all 4 w/ road hazard and price match and paid less then 365.00 installed on my X.

So far... all I say is SWEEEETTTTT!!!!!

Radial Rovers

The Radial Rovers will treat you well. I have had them on my 91 for about a year and a half. They have been very good tires. I pull a landscaping trailer with those tires and have never had ant problem what so ever. Sounds like you got a good deal from Sears!! I would recommend buying these tires. I am actually planning on buying Dunlops for my 95 Explorer!!

I've had a set for a couple of years and they are great!
Great off road and on road performance.

Sears does have some excellent sales. I bought my Pirelli Scorpion ATs (30X9.5) for $67 ea. Ford then reimbursed me after the big recall.
