dust seal replacement....?

Can anyone tell me the best way to replace the dust seals? How far do I need to go to take out the 1/2 shaft? Any info will help! Thanks

I wouldn't do it for grins

Take all the brake parts off, remove the shield, remove the hub, unbolt the lower ball joint. Seperating the ball joint is not easy to do without damage. At this age, you might as well press in a new one. You can then swing the yoke out of the way to free the shaft. Half shaft will snap out of differential by prying. Pull out the speed sensor and grease the hub while you are at it.
