Okay, so I tried to install my fog lights today. The only thing I did was disconnect the battery terminals...that's it.

I realized I didn't have enough time to wire the fogs today and then disconnected everything and put the battery terminals back on.

I then get in my truck, it starts fine, go to put it in reverse and it died.

It only dies when I first turn on the truck, put it in reverse, and then when I start backing up it stalls. I went back and fourth turning the truck on, going into drive, and then reverse, and turning the truck off. The last time I tried it it went fine.

What would have caused this stall when only going into reverse, I mean all I did was disconnect the terminals. I have never had this happen in the 6 months I have owned the truck.

I don't know if this is the issue or not but according to the owners manual if the battery is disconnected, you must follow a procedure so that the computer can re-learn things. I will post up more info when I get home.

you probably cleared the kam memory and iac position learned values.

i would say do a nice drive on a hwy around 50-55mph for 5-10 min and about 15min or so in traffic.

Thanks so much man! I was really scared when I started it up and it stalled over and over. Thought my tranny was shot!

I will have to disconnect the battery again and do exactly as the manual says. I plan on installing the fogs fully on saturday so will have to do it then.

thanks again! I love this forum
