I have question about dynamat

If I wanted to dynamat my floorboard, roof, doors and rear cargo area and hatch. How much do I need to buy?

Also what are some other brands that do the same thing as dynamat

if anyone wants to know why, Im not doing if for speakers or anything just to try to get rid of some road noise.

Dynamat

Two or three 39 square foot packs. I used an entire 39 suare feet of ultimate dynamat and it did my doors, and entire rear area and floors under the driver's seat. A second pack would get the roof, and I'd probably need a third just to get every nook and cranny. I got them on-line from somewhere in CA for around $90 per 39 sq. ft. box. Maybe $20 to ship?....

Ice and water, (there are several brand names) basically the roofing material you can buy at a hardware store that is used in valleys and low spots to protect from standing water works well. It's a lot cheaper than dynamat, although you typically have to purchase it in large rolls.

I used Peel-N-Seal on my X. I did 2 layers on the roof, 2 layers in the rear cargo area, and 3 layers on the sides....I have to do the doors and the hatch, but I have to wait until I shave them. I have all the material to do all that. Now I just need time and above freezing temps.....I have only had one or the other!

I have spent about $150 for the Peel-N-Seal. That got me 3 rolls or 12"x33.3' and 2 rolls of 6"x25'.... I wouldn't say you had to buy it in 'large quantities', not at all.
