DYSTAR POLYBUSHINGS

Hank: Do you have bushings that will fit my front and rear swaybar for a 96 5.0? Apparently there are two size OEM swaybars on that model year. Mine is the larger...measures 40 mm for the front and 22 mm for the rear. Thanks Mike

Hello,

sales@flexplorers.com :)

Yes, the Daystar catalog has a misprint. The bushing kits listed should both work on 91-98..

All the best.

update on install

Well finally got the daystar pivot, and radius arm bushings in. Honestly they weren't as bad to install as I was expecting. The radius arms took awhile, had to remove radius arm mount, and disconnect the sway bar, and the lower shock bracket. After that the pivot arms came out easy. The old bushings took a little work to remove, kinda tough laying on my back under the explorer, took about half a day, that included repainting suspension parts. Put it back together, and test drove. Major improvement, no more popping sounds, or vibrations, took her up to about 85-90 miles per hour. Was going to do the leaf springs, after taking them apart I found a metal sleeve inside, I couldn't remove those so I will let a shop do them for me, need a air hammer to remove.Any way for those interested these bushings have improved the handling of my explorer.
Thanks to Hank for putting the daystars on this forum.:D
