e-brake front cable

Does anyone know where a front brake cable (attaches to e-brake pedal) might be available for a 97 Ranger Reg Cab? Haven't checked Ford yet, but everywhere else seems to be on back order.
Also, does anyone happen to know the length of this front cable for both a 97 Regular Cab Ranger and 97 Explorer. We've swapped a 97 Ranger Cab onto a 97 Explorer Frame, front cable from Ranger was missing originally, and the Explorer appears to have a different rubber mount. So now stuck trying to figure out what length of Ranger cable to put in... if one is available from somewhere.

aaaah JY's not YJ's ..... I misread that seven times thinking ....what the hell does a jeep wrangler have to do with a ranger?Gotta stop reading jurasic park car forum material.
I just went to a yard, picked up a couple head covers for someone....whom I should contact today.. Don't know when I will return. But could easily pick one up from a ranger or explorer. Your issue may me solveable in a safer way though.

Could you offer a diagram or pics of the differences you see between the parts to which you are referring ?
