I changed my e-brake shoes and rotors a little over a month ago and I did the whole release the tension off the cable by pulling the cable and sticking a screw in the hole of the mechanism and left the cable free and it took some banging to get the new shoes on due to rusted parts and that knocked the cable off the hook on the back of the ebrake on the axle so after I put it all back together I set the cable on the hook and put it in reverse and tightened up the brakes and tried them out and everytime I release the pedal the cable pops off the hook. I don't see why it keeps doing this, just curious of any recommendations. I had thought of putting a blot of JB weld on it so it doesn't pop off but hate to incase I ever do need to take the cable off for some reason.
