The E-brake seems to be a bit harsh at the first bit of down travel when setting it. It seems to almost jump a bit then continues until it stops.
It almost feels as if its not sliding thru the sheath it's in straight and true. It's a little difficult to see but do I need to lubricate anything on the cable itself?

Any ideas?

Thanks
all these little things are irritating but who knows how the other owner treated it.

1) recall 00m12
2) bulbs blown dash light, rear liscense plate light
3) now has the hissing transmission noise goin on..

BTT

Follow the cable and WD-40 any thing that you can lots of older vehicles get mud and rust in the e-brake cable and the cable wears and snaps, Hum ??????? i am not sure but it could be the e-brake pads try a search "brake pads" and see what you find.
Hope this helps....
