My e-brake light keeps coming on when Im coming to a stop and when I start to accelerate, i pulled back my ebrake release handle s far as it would go, and the light still blinks for about 5 seconds every so often, but when I do put my ebrake on, the light doesnt always come on??

I have a similar problem but the "sensor" that gets depressed when the ebrake is applied is broken and its loose behind the kick panel but sometimes it does it on its own.

so it should be an easy fix right? just find the faulty sensor behind the kick panel?

That is also an indication that your brake fluid reservoir is low on brake fluid and needs attention before you get air in the system.

If it is the sensor, you shouldn't need to remove a kickplate or molding. It's a plunger style sensor right behind the cable/foot lever for the brake. I would take it off and make sure it's clean and not cracked.

Do what Papa said. My was doing the exact same thing and it was a little low on brake fluid.

brake fluid did the job, thanks guys
