So...
I bought the Mountaineer... Small exhaust leak...
Coming from the exhaust manifold...
Missing bolt...
Replace bolt = ( could not get bolt) = not fixed
Replace manifolds = not fixed
Reseat manifolds = not fixed
Take another look today and it's the EGR hose, can feel the exhausr blowing by the big nut on the manifold...

So parts are coming in tomorrow... about $100
BTW: I'm replacing the valve anyways, just because it looks old and is rusty, and there is some carbon built up in there so I figure I'd just do it while I'm at it...

I remember seeing a picture of a line that looked like it did what mine did too, I think it was one of Turdle's I'll see if I can find the pic and thread...

I guess this just goes to show to check that line if you have an exhaust leak/ticky noise...

Which reminds me of a question... When idling there seemed to be a tick noise, and as RPM went higher/load applied the tick went away and there was more definite signs of exhaust leak, is this all the same thing or is there a tick i need to worry about too?

The tick could be from the ex manifold leak or from the egr tube.

well lets hope egr since the manifolds are brand new and semi-professionally installed. (My friend did them at his dad's shop with his dad supervising (Dad is a mechanic, son is learning, but very knowledgeable))
