is there an easier way to replace the passenger headlight? Its a real pain to reach between the battery and the headlight to toy around and try to wrestle it outt... is there an easier way?

The easiest way to remove it would be like you said, take out the battery. I can do in about 1 minute with the battery in. Just take your time and try not to hit the bulb on anything. There is only 2 ways you can do, you just have to decide :D

blast! heh.. alright thanks dude.. Im gonna wait for it to cool down a bit and go back out there.. it hit 100* here in Chicagoland today.

anyway, I have my complete xenon lighting kit now... Headlights, foglights, turnsignals, and reverse lights.. and my clear corners will be here tomorrow.. :D

Good luck, just take your time.

dang, too bad you don't have one of the newer ones... assuming the explorer is the same as the F-150's like my 2000, they seem to have gotten it right. Two clips you push in on, and out pops the whole headlamp assembly. Swap out the bulb, then pop it back in, your done! Of course I learned this after I removed the battery to get to the passenger side light... LOL.

I went back after it cooled down some to try again.. just over 2 minutes..
