ok, so I dunno if this is the right place to put this, but there's no forums for axles so....

well the D44 I bought a long while back had the c-wedges cut off, and leaf perches welded on.
I have the c-wedges now, and have rough measurements of where they go but what I have ain't workin.
Can anybody get the the measurement from the inner-knuckle to the outside edge of the c-wedge?
I know from center of balljoint to outside of c is 4.5", but it's too hard for me to measure that

I know a lot there's a lot of SAS's using EB D44s out there! Jeesh! :D

1.5" from the biggest/flatest part of the knuckle to the edge of the wedge.

and BTW, you owe me a beer (i was crawling around on the garage floor in my undies). :D

Ya I don't think you can put them any farther out towards the knuckles. Once the spring plates are mouted it is a close fit. I would not weld them on till it is set up then you can weld them to the proper caster angle.

james t - lol I'll get ya a beer.. thanks!
taxxman2k - I'm not gonna weld 'em on yet. I just need the measurements so I can get the axle centered under the truck, because I have to get the rad arms mounted onto the axle before I can hook the arms into the brackets
