Ebay Brush Guard Thoughts

well iv been looking on craigslist alot for brushguards, and found a few around here for 150 average. i was on ebay and seen a new one for 159 plus 50 shipping....i should have posted this first but money burns a whole in my pocket lol.... heres the link.... has anyone bought one of these? i guess ill find out how good it is when i get it. it shipped out today and i ordered it at 8pm last night, so i do have to say its fast shipping anyway....... ill post pics when it comes, it looks like its a pretty good brush guard

I wonder whats different on a 95 that this is not made for it? 96 to '01, but not 95?

I have had a bumper off a 94 & a 95, they are a lot different. The 95 looks like a 96 to me, I don't get it.

95 and 96 bumpers are exactly the same, i had my rig parked right in front of yours gman last summer and there was no difference,,

So whats up with the brush guard not fitting a 95? If it's not the bumper is it the frame?

Oh by the way, I like the guard and the price very much! I would love to get it, and have a simple tube bumper to go with it.

I bought one just like that a few years ago. Still looks good and is pretty strong. I have pushed a few cars with it. I would def recomend it.

well like i said i ordered it off ebay at 8pm last night. and i already have fedex tracking number, ill have it tuesday!!!!!! i will let everyone know how it is when i get it. it looks very simialr to the Westin except for the 450 dollar price tag lol.... as for the 95-96 difference.... my last explorer was a 96 and my mom has a 95.... i see no difference in the frame, the only difference i know of is the elctronics.... obd1 on the 95... other than that idk...

I wonder how it bolts to the frame, I have a hitch I am putting on the front of mine this weekend. I think it might interfere. Post some pics of the install or let me know how it goes on there.

I bought a "Demo" brush gaurd from Hunter. The same one pictured. The side pieces in front of the headlight are designed as seperate parts and bolt on. Kinda cheezy in my opinion. They make they there. Not a fan, but I have it and they say no exchanges or refunds....plus even if they did it's like $65 bucks to ship it back.... ALSO, THE "DEMO" THEY SOLD ME LOOKS LIKE IT WAS OFF AN OLD USED TRUCK, NOT AN IN STORE DEMO LIKE THEY TOLD ME. GO TX!

Ugh Again

Oh yeah, they brackets that connect the lower part of the main section of the brush gaurd to the frame rail/bumper mounting bolt holes has to be totally hogged out because it's 3/4" off. I'm sure this will make this flimsy and easy to move it around if I do "Bump" something the slightest. i'm not bitter..... Again Go Hunter!

got the brush gaurd yesterday morning and put it on last night.....AMAZING BRUSH GAURD!!!! i paid 200 shipped compared to 450 for a westin! the ONLY difference between the westin and the ebay gaurd is that the westin is all one piece all welded together. the ebay gaurd is a 3 piece that bolts the the bumper/frame mouting brackets. the haedlight gaurds bolt to the center section, which i lie better b/c if you ever had to change haedlights/turn signals (which i plan to do with diamond cut headlights and clear corners) you would need to remove the brush gaurd.... with the ebay model you just need to remove the headlight sections.... but anyway its WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!! no complaints what so ever... pics tomorow!
