I read this thread and it sounds exactly what is going on with mine after redoing the rear brakes, before ever redoing the brakes, the ebrake line was already really tight when not set, never ever used it; as stated in another thread of mine.
(its now lifted) i leaned in to get something off of the floor board, i hit the ebrake on accident, it set, got in it to drive it and released the brake and you can still fill them wantting to drag behind really badly, how do i fix this and can I just lose the ebrake all together?

sounds like a spring is broke or worn out in the drums

i would still check them(not doubting your abilities). also is there play in the ebrake petal like is it really soft then gets hard. there could be build up in the line holding the brakes on a little. also while you have the drums off you could pull the brake cable (to relaese the brakes) to see if it was jammed.

well i went back out, pressed the ebrake pedal again, lots of pressure like normal.. released it, crawled under, pulled on the long part, between the front and rear, had slack with no problem, pulled on the one for the dr rear, had slack and play, but passenger is a lil tight
