Greetings all, I have a question for the greatest of minds out there. I’ve got an 04 ford explorer 4.0L I’ve lost the ability to start the vehicle after the battery went dead. I did some testing and have come to discover that the ECM is not reading the encoded key this triggering the PATS system. So here’s the question: Does anyone know of a list of interchangeable ford/mercury vehicles that have the same part number for the ECM as the explorer? I’d like to find a good ECM with matching keys from a donor vehicle but don’t know what years, or other models would be compatible. I’m figuring it would widen the search a lot more if equipped with more knowledge of compatible ECM’s. Any input on this will be so greatly appreciated!! :)

Also the ECM part# from my vehicle is:
4L2A-12A650-DE
Also not real sure what parts of that part number HAVE to match and what parts of the number can vary and still be compatible
