Hi all:

I'm sure this has been said before, but I can't help it. I finally got around to installing my EE rear swaybar kit (ZD5622) this weekend on my '01 Sport. To summarize - it transformed the vehicle. No more funny body oscillations when traversing camber transitions. Almost no body lean in corners. It almost handles as well as my Mustang (with worn-out rubber bushings). So far, it's the best $180 I've spent on the Sport. If you want your Explorer to handle, and don't plan on doing any rock crawling, I highly recommend putting one of these on.

Installation was easy. I had one guy helping me. It took us about 30 minutes laying under the Ex in the driveway, using a pneumatic wrench. I did not remove the spare, but I did jack up the rear just enough to let the rear axle go slack. I also had to remove the lower shock bolts to provide room for the wrench. If you can change a tire, you can install one of these swaybars.

Regards,
John.

Couldn't agree more.

Whenever I can pay off my huge stereo bill, I think this will be my final $$ dropped into this truck for a good amount of time. I need mine replaced so bad. :(

Well, I dont have the EE sway bars, but the Saleen sway bars (front and rear) and I too have to say that buying them was the best investment ever.

I have the rear EE bar on mine, and it is great. (Think Mustang with headroom :D ) It gives much better handling, especially at expressway speeds. I also have a set of poly bushings for the front bar, but haven't installed them yet.......

I agree as well. The improvement is much more noticeable on the Sports (2wd being the most noticeable), while it is least noticeable on the V-8 AWD (albeit still noticeable).

I loved it on my Sport, it made it very easy to steer with the throttle when it was wet outside.
