Hey guys, go to the above URL for some pics of EGR's fender flares for the explorer. What do ya's think? I've heard these are of super quality and fit. Any opinions appreciated!

I'm considering getting a set.. they look pretty good in the picture, but I don't know.. I'm afraid I will be accused of trying to imitate an EB model, and I'm not.. if I get any, I will definatley look into these tho. what are these? about $150?

They look great. I, too am thinking about getting some, but the prices are pretty steep. But, I am also worried that because my Ex is stock, the flares will lessen the space between the tires and the fenders, making my 4x4 look like a 2WD. I don't know, haven't seen any stockers with flares.

I doubt it would make a signifigant difference in fender clearance.. I saw the price after I made the first reply.. too high, I'll hafta find some cheaper or not get some, they aren't worth that.. heh, personally, I can't tell a 2wd from a 4wd just by looking at it if its stock.. I hata look at the radio bezel

Expensive, but they look good

i know they are more expensive, but it is the ONLY good - looking flare i have seen on an XLT. Most others i have seen have something that turns me off. so far, for price- i have seen them at $278 set or so. I think i am getting some.....i might leave them unpainted as in the pics(I believe those aren't painted) ....my truck is green....i think the greyish look would blend in with the chrome and grey mouldings. Oh ya, they are now available in Carbon Fiber look!
