1 1/16 inch wrench mine was open and closed end big wrench not normally in bag about 14 bucks at an auto part store works on top nut at egr valve and bottom nut down by lower exhaust manifold
you get at the bottom nut by removing your front wheel splash guard on the drivers side
incredibly stubborn nut tried pb at multiple times hot (propane torch )and cold
but no avail i tried to put a grove with a dremel in side of nut and used a long punch to tap at the nut still no worky
since i already had small holes in the tube i decided to replace both
tube somewhat expensive 49 $
loosen but dont remove the top connecting nut to the egr then take a small hack saw the single handed kind that just supports the blade on one end and saw the tube off just left of connecting nut on the tube leave the one in the exhaust manifold alone then get the egr then you can get the closed end of the 1 1/16th wrench on the nut and slowly turn the nut off
from the wheel well location do a couple back and forth motions to avoid thread damage yea its possible i used a sat antenna mounting mast as a breaker bar for more leverage youll think of somthing but it didnt seem to budge without hacking the tube off first like i thought i was going to lift the motor it was rocking the mounts he ha.... use pb a few times as above it had to be the combo of forces
the inner tube flange adds friction like a lockwasher cutting the tube got action
if you just have holes in the tube no manner of epoxy seemed to work untill i got some tail pipe putty dries fairly hard and is temperature proof
