I'd like to know if anyone here has done an electric fan swap and if so, what size fan did you use, or what model exactly? I have a V8 and I don't know if I can use the same size fan as the V6's or not. Thanks for any help

Personally, I don't think swapping to an electric fan is going to get you much, but use the largest fan that will fit your radiator. Measure the width of your radiator core and then look for a fan that has a similar diameter. You'll have to decide whether you want to use a pusher or a puller fan (probably a puller), you'll need to install a relay on a 25 AMP fuse protected circuit and some sort of thermostatically controlled switch so the fan doesn't run continuously. Electric fans draw a lot of AMPS. That will make your alternator work harder. If you're already running a powerful sound system, your stock alternator may not be up to the task.

You need TWO smaller fans diagonally mounted.
A SINGLE fan that would be big enough, definitely will require a shroud to improve the air flow. Otherwise the air will just rotate around the fan, not being pulled trough efficiently.

Maybe you can get a Crown Vic fan and shroud from JY, but they are very sought for.
