Hi, I have done a couple searches on this forum but no luck. Both electric mirrors do not work at all. I have replaced the switch and I have replaced both mirrors because they were broken (they broke awhile after the electic adjust stopped working) and they still don't work.

I tried testing it one time but it was a cheap tester and had no luck.

This may be just coincidence but, it started when somebody bumped one of the mirrors pushing it all the way towards the window like how they are made to do when they get hit and right after that when I tried to adjust it I noticed it didn't work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

Have you checked the wires?

yes, the wires looked fine but who knows.

anyone know of a good tester that could be used for this?

btw when I did test it iwas definitely getting power from the fuse box cause that crappy tester started smoking.

When I had this problem I traced the wires in the door and one of them had pulled apart. Once I got it back together everything worked fine.

It was awhile back when I checked it all out but I don't remeber anything that looked out of the ordinary in there but I will look again.

When you had your problem was it both mirrors?

Yes it was both mirrors. I had the switch replaced and I got nothing. I think the wire that was messed up was the power wire.

ok I will check that. Thank you

I have checked the wiring in both doors and everything was fine.

How do I test it and what type of tester would I use?

nobody knows how to fix this?

i'm going out on a limb here...

How many wires go to the mirrors? Try running 12 volts to the wires...see if it operates the mirrors. Use at your own risk.

Maybe it shorted something out in your power window circuit board.
If it were me I would try and run a direct hot and cold wire to each mirror and see if they work. Put a $2.50 inline fuse holder in the hot wire.
