Electric or Mechanical gauge?

looking at the Autometer phantom series transmission temperature gauge and i was wondering what people perfer, electric or mechanical. thanks

electric, you don't want hot tranny fluid flowing through the passenger compartment.

Not to mention electric gauges are 1000000 times easier to hook up.

I just installed an Autometer Electric, worth every penny

I went electric on mine since I didn't want hot fluids in my passenger compartment, as Alec mentioned. Sure a mechanical is more accurate and doesn't get influenced by have connections like an electrical would, but my electrical problems would leave my guage fully pegged or complete off, so a little common sense should prevail here. Running wire is easier to run than a capillary tube.
