Hi guys. I need your help for the electrical connection of my bike rack. The socket of the bike rack is 7 pins round type and to be connected to our explorer 2009 with 4 pins only. Where can I buy the adapter/converter? Thanks a lot.

here are the pics;

check etrailer.com i didnt see it, but i may have missed it... there is RV-7, which have flat prongs. and 7-round like you have... dont see the 7round very much... what functions does the bike rack have? might be cheaper to cut the 7pole off and wire a 4 flat on instead. i cant imagine it would ahve anything other than tail lights/ brake lights/ turn signals... must be made to use with an rv/camper im guessing

Hello fellow pinoy!

As MountaineerGreen suggested, cut off the 7-pin plug and wire in a 4-pin.

thanks for your support guys.
but i dont know how to rewire it. can someone teach me how.

go to your local walmart and buy one of these: http://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Draw-Tite/18004.html

just cut the 7pole off, if your lucky maybe the wires will be the color they should be...

on the 4-flat the wire colors are:
White - Ground
Brown - Tail Lights
Yellow - Left Turn
Green - Right turn

Thanks Ranger379. I'll try it out.

Hi guys, I did it! I bought the connector that Ranger379 suggested which was very hard to find here in UAE.

Just did little trial & error on the wirings because the brake and signal light of the ford explorer is designed to be in a one 2way bulb (there are no any amber signal lights). So, I removed the wiring connection of the amber signal lights and connected to the park/brake lights from the bike rack. It worked well.

Again, thanks for your advice gentlemen. More power to this forum.

Good job SBOY.
