Electrical Cooling Fan

Has anyone swapped out there factory cooling fan for an aftermarket system that is electrical. I was hoping to get some advice because I think it would help take some strain off my engine. I bought my '94 X last December and it runs great. I have put about 20k miles on it; highway miles. Any other ideas to help it last longer would be great. I am actually hoping to get better gas mileage also. I am getting 18 on the highway, just at 17 with the A/C on.
