Electric Cooling Fans?

Did you have to modify the shroud to get it to fit? How much space did you have left? The Mark VIII fan I tried only left 1/8" between the water pump pulley and the shroud.

Mark VIII's came with 120A alternators stock, not sure if that's max or idling. Our X alternators should handle the fan without a problem.

The Crown Victorias shroud is not as deep as the stock Explorer's so I have a lot of room between radiator and engine (4-5 in.). Plus, it fits right into the stock mounts with no modifications. If you get one, don't get one from 97 or later as it will not clear the hood. Hard lesson learned on my part.

Very tempting. Too bad you're an SOHC. Not sure if there's a difference in space between the radiator and engine.

Huskyfan23,

The fan shroud from radiator to end of shroud in only 2.5 inches so it should fit
