Ok. Driving to gas station, go to leave, batt is dead. Try and jump it and welded the jumper cable to terminal. :fire:
Problem. :frustrate
Disconnect lightbar wiring and jump again, starts and runs fine.On way home radio shuts on and off, usually when i apply brake. Using hi-beams cause engine to slow down.
Go to pickup batt chager, leave it running, go to shift outta park and it dies. JUmped batt from f150 for 30 min and i got nothing, just frantic flickering of lights and clicking from something (i dont think it was the starter sol.) :frustrate
Im going to check everything with volt meter, repalce any bad wires, replace alternator and try again.
Also, alternator, battery and starter are new within a few months, havent been in mud ever.
Anyone been here before? Any tips on where to look for the cause of my alternator burning out? (I believe thats main part of problem.)
