2004 Ford Explorer Sport
hi all...I own a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac...been having some unexplainable problems with it lately...thought maybe somebody out there can give me some idea what it may be...It first started out when the gauges wouldn't work half the time...now it's got to the point where the lights will go on without the truck even running...any ideas would be most appreciated...just would like to know what I'm against...maybe it could something simple that I could fix myself and save me a few dollars

Does it have daytime running lights?

Check your Rear view mirror if it has a auto delay switch, play with it and see if it chatters on and off. If it does a cheap fix is to do like i did and unplug it. If not replace your mirror. (If, of coarse, you have that)

How old is your battery? And check all battery cables to make sure they are connected tight.

Yep! The rear view mirror deal can and will also lead to killing your battery. Battery i would agree definitely needs to be replaced but before you do find the root of the problem
