2003 Ford Explorer
I am having a problem with my 2003 Ford Explorer. First let me tell you I have
learned to really appreciate it the last few days driving in the lake effect snow
of Jamestown, New York area. My problem has to do with the two battery
warning lights on dash. The one by oil gauge keeps coming on red and then
going out. This keeps happening all the time I am driving. Everything else seems to be working OK but garage told me they weren't certain what was causing this to happen. Any help would be appreciated. Just installed new
battery last spring.

Is it a 4.6L V8?

Did you happen to be dashing through the snow just before this happened? If you hit a big enough mound you may have gotten some on the alternator. Just a thought.

If its constant get a multimter and see what voltage you have on your battery...alternator my be going bad.
