My 1993 Explorer Sport just developed a little electrical bug and I am hoping someone can shed come light on it. A Month or so ago (since my mom still likes to drive this truck), my mom had me pull the fuse for the rear windsheild wiper as she kept hitting the switch for it with her knee getting in and out. Now I wonder if this has an effect on the problems below.
A month ago my Fuel gauge quit working. I read on the board and I hear the float may be stuck. But I still wonder if that is an electrical problem due to this one little detail, when the truck is on the fuel gauge goes all the way down to the E, but after it's turned off the fuel gauge goes back a quarter of a tank from E. Around this same time my ABS light used to come on at odd times, it has quit since the Radial Arm bushing was replaced, so I am guessing thats mechanical and fixed. And today the Radio Stopped working alltogether. I checked the clock once and after that when I started the truck the radio would not come on, no clock or anything. I wonder what could be causing this and if the wiper fuse being pulled could have caused it.
Sorry to be so wordy but it seems to be an electrical problem that is hard to track, and I don't like to leave out anything.
