Hi I was hoping someone might have had the same problem and hopefully can save me an unnecessary expensive trip to the dealer. I have an early build 2002 Explorer and my front wipers are dead. I just get a clicking from the relay. So far I have replaced the multifunction switch, replaced both relays, replaced the GEM module, and also replaced the wiper motor 3 times. Thought maybe I just got a bad autozone motor so I returned it and bought one from NAPA, that didn't work either, so I tried a working motor from someone else's explorer and that didn't work either. I checked for power at the motor's wiring harness and I have power and ground. My red wire is constant power, black is constant ground. When I try the switch on different speeds I get power on other wires depending on the speed I select so it seems as though everything is working as it should, but they just wont turn on and the relay always just clicks. I can't seem to make heads or tails out of the wiring diagrams, as far as which color should have power and ground on which speed. Anyone have any idea why the relay would click? The fuses in the car are all fine and when testing it with a test light it seems to be a solid connection. I'm at the point that I am ready to go to the dealer and start beating people with the wiper arms, it's so frustrating. Thanks for any help in advance.
