2004 Explorer
I have a 2004 Explorer. About a week ago I was driving and my truck stalled at a stop sign. It has 106,000 and has run fine. Then it did it again that night. Then the service engine light comes on. Well the stalling and hesatating gets worse. The electronic throttle control light (a wrench) comes on as well.

In the mornings the truck runs fine on the way to work. Then at night when I go to leave it's a different story. The lights come back on and runs like crap. The left directional indicatior light will stay on at times. And sometimes the horn will come on till I shut it off quick. The headlights will flicker a bit. And tomight the light highbeam came on at what looked like half power.

So today I stopped at a Ford dealer and told them I needed an electronic throttle control. I am in no way a mechanic. They could have sold me just about anything. So $350 later I was givien a throttle body, Is that what I needed? I removed the hose and two connectors. And there were four bolts. Seemed pretty simple. Well I replaced it and nothing changed. Horn came on again. And when I turned the headlights and driving lihts on, it stalled. Did I do something wrong? Or is there another problem?

Thanks
Eric
